The Rotary Club of Brookline is sponsoring their 3nd Annual "Have a Heart: A Chocolate Extravaganza" on Sunday, February 3, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 3:00pm at Pine Manor College located at 400 Heath Street in Chestnut Hill. The themes are chocolate and hearts in celebration of Valentine's Day and the spirit of giving. The Rotary Club of Brookline will donate the majority of proceeds from the event to the Brookline Emergency Food Pantry and to other hunger-related charities.
Vendors will be showcasing their best chocolate food and drink "tastes" for sampling. There will also be music by the Brookline Symphony Orchestra and other beverages available throughout the event, and a Silent Auction with some fabulous prizes.
Buy your tickets now! In Prior Years, we have sold out this event in advance. We are encouraging advance ticket sales so that we can provide an accurate head count to our vendors. Tickets in advance are $15.00 for Adults and $10.00 for Seniors and Children. Adult tickets will be $25.00 at the door, and Child and Senior tickets will be $15.00 at the door. Children 5 and under are Free!

ABOUT THE BROOKLINE EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY:
St. Paul's Church hosts the Brookline Emergency Food Pantry. Food and money are donated by Brookline communities of faith and organizations such as the Rotary Club, the Coolidge Corner Merchants Association, and the letter carriers. Needed items include cereal, pasta sauce, soups, canned meats, tuna fish, canned vegetables and fruit, and toiletries. Funds to purchase these items are always welcome. Volunteers are always needed.
Tuesday and Thursday, 10-2, Wednesday, 3-6 and Saturday, 1:00 - 4:00
The number of visits to the pantry by individuals and families in need of supplementary free food continues to increase—from under 1000 in ‘02 to over 2000 in ‘05 to almost 2700 during this past year.
